Is there an alternative credit card that I can purchase other than green dot? Everything that happened to Bunny in Portland, OR happened to me too, except the hangup. I was on 1 hour and 25 minutes. Asked for the supervisor 9 times over first 30 minutes before he finally came on. Some think accented bag of hammers named "Mika" couldn't understand that I was STANDING AT CVS for 85 minutes trying to get the card activated! Then it errors out and Im out $458. I did finally get a refund, but my night was shot. Thanks greendot!

If you are smart, you'll go find a different route than green dot! There ARE other companies that have better service.Don't be lazy! Look around! Don't be cheated by green dot, because if there is a way, believe me, green dotknows exadtly how to steal your money by issuing cards they can't "find in their records"

The website information for locations is incorrect for Wyoming. And what the he'll is it that there is no "contact us" on their website? It is a circus -jump through hoops act trying to get a human to talk to, and when you do it is some fucking s'not in India, or the Carribean, or some other place other than the US!!!?? You ask them, they lie to you, rude, and then hang up on you!! I hate green dot more thn I hate anything in this world! The company is run by crooks who are scaming you out of your money!! My theory is that their biggest problem is the way they transfer your calls to their'"ustomer service"( what a sick joke thaty is!)when I called to see if they could THEIR mistake they made concerning $80.00 Iwanted to reload on my newly-mintedcard to replace the temporary card they gave me. Well, I asumed I could call them and they would be nice nough to care about customer relations and at least offer o o refund my money or issue a new card for my $80.00, They didn't. Imagine my frustrationwhen I heard some 12 year old in India was going to "work with me"! He couldn't speak a word of English and the sound volumn wildly varied from loud to way-too-soft to hear!The accnt was terrible1 I could barly get a word the kid said. I aked him several times to refund my money but he had no idea on what to do so he transfered me to his "specialist" who would solve the problem,he was gong to 'transfer' my call to another person. OK, fair enough, I'll wait. THEN THE LITTLE SNOT HUNG UP THE PHONE!It took me 15 minutes to get "in" the system.what really burned me up wa the fact that I could not get past the 'automated voice' crapto talk to a real human!( I think they go out of their way to hire non-humans to work for them!!)12 times I entered my card numbder and was told "invalid number " and then the call was terminated!: :( ever hear of 'going postal" ? After Geen Dot, I can understand what pushes those people over the edge! By then, I was in a real rage with no way to fix the problem!!The hole poblem was my "number " was not in their records! Vome on! You think this is my fault? It's a brand new ****number rigt off the card!! i was on the phone with the loser committee on green dots fo 1 hour and thry still have my money. I will not use this card in the furture i've been useing this card for 5mos with no problem. Then this month 23.00dollars was missing off my card and green dot cant tell me what happen leaving me behide on my bill with att now i have to pay a 2month bill because of their missake. then i go on line to find out about a 5.95cents monthly payment greendot charge every month which leaves my card insuffent of funds and they decline my card and sill cant tell where the 23.00 that was left went. I'am done with green dot at the end of this month their all about money Not........A good CARD.

I would rather pay $4.95 to reload my card than $35.00 overdraft fee or overdraft protection any day. $20.00 a month is far better than $35.00 PER overdraft.

They make it so easy to use this card. No APRs, overdraft fees, or hassle. The card is basically free to use if you make the minimal monthly deposits. We go well over that with no rude tellers putting a limit on my daily withdrawl. Hey its my money! I love shopping online and paying bills because the card is so convienent. I had someone keep my card, I called immediately, cancelled, they issued a new card. Great CSR!

Yes , I love our Green Dot Gold Card , and with mine and Hubbys checks being directly deposited only charge is for being a premier member 3.00 bucks a month which you more or less get back each month .. no atm charges being premier they credit that chargeback....... can't beat it.. an very convenient too

It is very good thing for anyone, especially those who are fed up with the banks ripping us off and laughing in our faces when they charge us (up to / over $40 in some cases!) for mistakes- It's not the banks' job to "teach us a lesson" for forgetting to make a deposit, transfer funds, etc.
